Lucent cutaneous coverings

From the industrial revolution onwards, people feel increasingly lonely. Smaller families, expanding cities and the popularity of social media are some factors that reinforce people’s feeling of isolation today. The "Lucent cutaneous coverings" series contemplates about the presence and absence of human touch in our lives. Just like food and sleep, feeling each other’s skin is crucial to our quality of life and serves as a remedy for loneliness and vulnerability.  The short film “Fly in ointment”, directed by Peter Collins, can be indicated as one of the important sources of inspiration for this series.
